Emirates starts 2024 with a boost, upgrading Vienna flights EK127 and EK128 to A380s from Feb 21 to Mar 30, increasing capacity & luxury.

Emirates is ushering in the new year with exciting developments in Austria. Starting from February 21st and lasting until March 30th, 2024, the end of the winter flight schedule, Emirates will enhance its services on the Vienna route. Flights EK127 and EK128, which have been operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, will now be served by the larger, three-class Airbus A380, increasing seat availability and providing more travel choices to and from Vienna.

Flight EK127 departs from Dubai at 08:55hrs, reaching Vienna at 12:25hrs, while the return flight EK128 leaves Vienna at 15:10hrs and lands in Dubai at 23:40hrs, with all times being local.

Passengers flying from Vienna on Emirates will have the opportunity to experience the Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft. This includes access to First Class suites, shower spas, an onboard lounge, and a wide range of international and regional cuisines. Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system offers a selection of up to 6,500 channels for on-demand entertainment.

Elisabeth Zauner, the Country Manager for Emirates Austria, expressed her excitement about the A380’s return to Vienna until the winter schedule concludes. She highlighted this as a significant achievement, reflecting Vienna’s critical role as both a destination and a starting point for flights. She also expressed hope for the A380’s permanent return in the future.

The return of the Emirates A380 to Vienna marks a significant moment, as the aircraft has been absent since August 2022. This change in the winter flight schedule, indicative of Emirates’ adaptable and demand-responsive fleet management, makes Emirates the sole airline offering the two-deck A380 at Vienna Airport. The evening flights EK126 and EK125 will continue to operate with a Boeing 777-300ER.

To ensure exceptional comfort, the Emirates A380 features 14 seats in First Class, 76 in Business Class, and 429 in Economy Class for the Vienna-Dubai route. The introduction of the A380 increases passenger capacity by nearly 40%, underlining Vienna’s significance and the growing demand for long-haul travel via Dubai. However, the switch to the A380 will not affect the freight capacity on this route.

Emirates is the world’s leading operator of A380 aircraft, with a fleet of 116. Currently, nearly 90 A380s are in service across Emirates’ extensive global network, serving destinations like Bangkok, Mauritius, Denpasar/Bali, and Sydney.
