Emirates was honored to host Kai Wegner, the Governing Mayor of Berlin; Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises; and Dieter Janecek, Federal Government Coordinator of the Maritime Industry and Tourism from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, among other senior officials, at its stand during the Official Opening Tour of ITB Berlin. This marked the commencement of this year’s edition of the world’s leading travel trade show. Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, and Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, extended a warm welcome to the VIP delegation.
During their visit, the officials were guided through the airline’s Economy Class seat display, showcasing its latest amenities, and were also given a glimpse of the iconic A380 Onboard Lounge. Emirates has organized a dynamic three-day agenda at ITB Berlin with the objective of reinforcing existing partnerships and establishing new strategic alliances across the regional travel and aviation ecosystem.
With over 35 years of service in Germany, Emirates remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering tourism and supporting the local economy. The airline has expressed interest in adding Berlin to its global network for more than two decades, thereby enhancing its operations in Germany.
ITB Berlin holds significant importance for Emirates, representing its largest trade-fair presence outside its home market. The debut of the new 480 square meters Emirates stand at ITB Berlin 2024, located in Hall 2.2, underscores the airline’s dedication to the event.
