Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline, made its inaugural landing in Boston on Sunday, launching regular flights between Abu Dhabi and the US city to enhance connectivity and travel choices for passengers.
The debut flight, designated as EY147, was commemorated at Abu Dhabi Airport before departure. Upon arriving in Massachusetts, Etihad’s pilots displayed UAE and US flags from the cockpit, marking the commencement of the airline’s fourth direct route to America.
This new service, operational on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, utilizes a cutting-edge Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner equipped with Etihad’s renowned Business Studios and Economy Smart seats. Featuring 28 Business and 262 Economy seats, all equipped with entertainment systems, in-seat power, and in-flight Wi-Fi, passengers are assured a comfortable and enjoyable journey, coupled with top-notch service and hospitality.
