Flair Airlines, Canada’s premier budget carrier, continues its dedication to operational excellence and dependability, boasting a February 2024 completion factor of 96.4%. With 1,784 out of 1,850 scheduled flights completed, this achievement further cements Flair’s reputation as a dependable and cost-effective choice for air travel among Canadians.

“In February, Flair again demonstrated its commitment to operational excellence and serving the needs
of Canadian travelers,” said Stephen Jones, CEO of Flair Airlines. “As the sole ultra-low-cost carrier
(ULCC) in Canada, we embrace the opportunity to carry more passengers on-time to destinations across
North America, while offering low fares. In this ever-evolving landscape of air travel, it’s crucial that air
travel remains accessible to all Canadians. Flair not only provides affordable fares, but our performance
metrics prove we are just as, if not more, reliable as Big Air.”

Completion Factor:
In February, Flair successfully operated 1,784 out of 1,850 scheduled flights, achieving an impressive completion factor of 96.4%. This metric highlights Flair’s unwavering dedication to operational excellence and reliability, ensuring our passengers’ safe and punctual arrival at their destinations.

Load Factor and Passenger Numbers:
Continuing its mission to connect communities and Canadians with the people and experiences they cherish, Flair welcomed 293,592 passengers in February. With a commendable booked load factor of 89%, representing the percentage of network-wide seats sold to paying passengers, Flair remains steadfast in its commitment to making air travel more affordable and accessible to all.

On-Time Performance:
Flair’s on-time performance (OTP), measuring flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time, witnessed improvement in February, reaching 51.2%. This enhancement reflects Flair’s proactive measures to elevate service standards and minimize disruptions for passengers. Although it falls below Flair’s target goal, the airline is implementing organizational enhancements to achieve higher OTP as peak travel periods approach.

Fostering Competition and Innovation:
Following the closure of Lynx, Flair Airlines now stands as Canada’s sole ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC). As an industry disruptor, Flair recognizes the significant responsibility that accompanies this position, understanding its pivotal role in promoting competition, driving innovation, and ultimately benefiting Canadians nationwide.
