The Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest proudly announces its partnership with local brand Edina’s Paper to showcase an enchanting holiday display that honors the grandeur of Art Nouveau within the historic Gresham Palace.
Renowned for its timeless grace, the Gresham Palace stands as a hallmark in Budapest’s heart. To commemorate the city’s 150th anniversary and pay tribute to this architectural wonder, Four Seasons Hotel Budapest collaborates with Edina’s Paper, a Budapest-based Hungarian brand known for cutting-edge paper installations that have garnered global acclaim.
Edina Németh, CEO and creative mind behind Edina’s Paper, expresses her enthusiasm about the collaboration: “The Gresham Palace has forever captivated me with its facade, and partnering with Four Seasons Hotel Budapest to craft a festive display appealing to both children and adults is an immense honor.”
Inspired by the Art Nouveau design elements within the Gresham Palace, Edina and her team have meticulously crafted a holiday installation that encapsulates the essence of this historic landmark. The ornate details of the entrance’s iron gate serve as inspiration, with the regal peacock emerging as the focal point, uniting this year’s concept through its form and hues.
A standout feature of the installation is a substantial photo spot positioned in front of the hotel’s KOLLÁZS – Brasserie & Bar, showcasing a detailed paper rendition of the Gresham Palace facade surrounded by Budapest’s iconic landmarks. This unique Budapest cityscape incorporates stunning glass ornaments and Zsolnay tiles from the hotel’s interior, mirroring the Art Nouveau style buildings and forming a distinctive homage to the location.
In collaboration with the hotel’s florist, Arioso, Edina’s Paper has designed exquisite paper ornaments adorning the Christmas tree. Drawing from motifs found within the palace’s interior and iron gate, these ornaments reflect the peacock’s colors, embellished with touches of gold and reflective surfaces, seamlessly complementing Arioso’s baubles.
The intricate paper facades and ornaments showcase the craftsmanship and dedication of Edina and her team, involving over 300 hours in design and more than 1,000 hours in assembling each delicate detail. Each iconic facade has been skillfully translated into layered designs, laser-cut in Edina’s Paper studio, and meticulously hand-assembled into three-dimensional structures.
