In Sikkim flash floods, the death toll has increased to 14 as over 100 people are missing at this moment, on Thursday, the state government confirmed on the same. Around 22 army personnel are among the 102 missing people as well in this catastrophe while 26 injured people have been registered and they are looking for treatment after the calamity, prompted by a cloudburst that happened over Lhonak Lake based in north Sikkim.
As the emergency services to the affected areas were mobilized, Prem Singh Tamang, the chief minister of Sikkim has suggested people to stay away from needless traveling at this moment. In the meantime, the government of Sikkim has also introduced helpline numbers for assistance.
The government in a post shared on X, has requested the citizens to contact the following helpline numbers for any sort of aid:
