Frontier Airlines is expanding its services at BWI Marshall Airport by introducing a new route to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport starting May 16. This addition strengthens Frontier’s position as the fastest-growing airline at BWI Marshall, emphasising its commitment to enhancing connectivity and offering more travel options to passengers.
The new nonstop service will operate three times a week, facilitating travel between the two cities and providing passengers with greater flexibility and convenience.
This announcement follows Frontier Airlines‘ recent introduction of new services from BWI Marshall to Charlotte, Chicago Midway, and Detroit last month, further broadening its network and accessibility for travelers. These expansions are part of Frontier’s broader strategy to increase its footprint and offer budget-friendly travel options to a wider audience.
BWI Marshall Airport continues to experience growth in both airline and passenger traffic, indicating a positive trend in air travel recovery post-pandemic. From an airline seat capacity perspective, BWI Marshall has seen a 5% increase in Q1 of 2024 over the previous year and a 2% rise compared to the same period in 2019, before the pandemic struck. Additionally, for Q2, the airline seat capacity at BWI Marshall is expected to be up by 5% over the same period in 2023, showcasing continued growth and recovery in the aviation sector.
Frontier Airlines’ expansion at BWI Marshall underscores the airline’s confidence in the market’s potential and its dedication to meeting the rising demand for air travel.
