The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) is set to conduct two public workshops on April 3rd, aimed at presenting and gathering feedback on a series of proposed upgrades at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
A visual concept will be showcased, detailing a new hotel at BWI Marshall Airport, including a depiction of travelers moving through a corridor within the airport terminal close to the hotel’s entrance.
These workshops are designed to disseminate details and solicit feedback on potential enhancements being considered in a Preliminary Environmental Review (EA) process. These include the construction of a new air traffic control tower, establishing a hotel within the main terminal vicinity, and the removal of obstacles. The proposed updates, as outlined in the EA, seek to modernize the aging tower infrastructure, meet federal airspace safety norms, and enhance the terminal experience for passengers.
The workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, with the first session from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the second from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both sessions will take place at the MAA facility located at 7005 Aviation Blvd, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
Officials from the MAA, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the project’s team will be present to field inquiries from attendees. Additionally, the public is encouraged to submit written feedback during and following the events.
