The statement from Kemp’s office declared that Georgia witnessed major number of tourists in the
history of the state last year, with an entire financial influence for Georgia’s tourism and travel segment
reaching $73 billion, marking a 13% upsurge year-over-year.
Travel request is accredited by the office of the Governor with generating 442,600 employments across Georgia, which is 20,000 more employment between 2021 and 2022.
Governor Kemp said that due to Georgia’s excellent natural phenomena, their abundant small towns with
hospitable families, their major cities and magnetisms and more, their tourism segment endures to touch new elevations. This significant development is an indication that their pro-business rules are functioning, permitting them to contend like never before in all four angles of Georgia.
Last year was also the third year in succession that Georgia kept its No. 5 market segment for overnight
local stays in the U.S., producing $4.7 billion in state and domestic levy proceeds, equivalent to a 10.1%
upsurge from 2021.
