Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the foremost authority in the global cruise sector, proudly unveils an impressive roster of Government Ministers, top executives from cruise lines worldwide, and representatives from international institutions slated to participate in Cruise Week Europe, set to take place in Genoa from March 11th to 14th.

A robust representation from the cruise industry is expected, with numerous CEOs from leading cruise lines confirming their presence at the event.

This year’s edition, organized in collaboration with the Liguria Region, Genoa City Council, Genoa Ports, and the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, promises to be a significant gathering.

CLIA’s European Summit will serve as a platform for cruise line leaders to engage with governmental bodies and key stakeholders. Notable figures scheduled to attend include Daniela Santanchè, Italy’s Minister of Tourism; Nello Musumeci, Italy’s Minister of Civil Protection and Sea Policies (invitation extended); Maurizio Leo, Italy’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance; Edoardo Rixi, Italy’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport; Marina Hadjimanolis, Shipping Deputy Minister to the President of Cyprus; Olga Kefalogianni, Greece’s Tourism Minister (invitation extended); Myron Flouris, Secretary General for Tourism Policy and Development in Greece; and Rosan Morillo, Spain’s Secretary of State for Tourism (invitation extended). Additionally, attendees will include Einar Vik Aarset, Director General of the Norwegian Coastal Administration; Heino Nau, DG MARE coordinator focusing on the blue economy; and István Ujhelyi MEP, Vice-Chair of the TRAN Committee of the European Parliament.

Building on the success of previous Summits in Genoa and Paris, CLIA’s annual European Summit serves as a pivotal moment for the cruise community and its various stakeholders—ranging from shipyards and port authorities to NGOs and international organizations—to discuss critical policy priorities, industry trends, and shared challenges and goals. This year’s Summit will feature CEO panel sessions addressing the transition towards achieving net zero emissions targets and the significance of sustainable tourism development in destinations, alongside discussions on marine life conservation, sustainable tourism practices, workforce diversity, and skills investment.

Moreover, the Summit will incorporate sessions dedicated to marine life conservation, sustainable tourism practices, workforce diversity, and skills investment.

Adding a new dimension to CLIA Cruise Week, the inaugural Innovation Expo will provide a platform for over 100 exhibitors to showcase innovative solutions and products from across Europe. With an extensive agenda featuring showcases and industry discussions on sustainable supply chains and innovation within the cruise ecosystem, coupled with a fully booked exhibition floor and strong registration figures, this promises to be an unmissable event.
