Hilton confirms its new flagship hotel in Udaipur, set to open in 2026, marking a significant expansion in Rajasthan.
Hilton has announced its inaugural venture with the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand in Udaipur, scheduled for opening in early 2026. This marks the company’s first foray into the revered ‘City of Lakes’, in a collaborative effort with Elysian Hotels Private Limited. Once operational, the Hilton Udaipur will enhance Hilton’s existing portfolio in Rajasthan, where it already manages the Hilton Jaipur and DoubleTree by Hilton Jaipur Amer. The launch aligns with Hilton’s strategic expansion in Rajasthan, building on recent developments like the introduction of the Waldorf Astoria brand in 2023 and the third Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur.
Udaipur, celebrated for its deep cultural roots, magnificent architecture, and scenic lakes, stands as a pivotal part of Rajasthan’s tourism appeal. The upcoming Hilton Udaipur is designed to captivate guests with its stunning vistas of Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake and its proximity to key transport hubs, including the city center, airport, and railway station, promises convenient access.
The property will feature 118 luxurious rooms and suites set amidst lush gardens, reflecting the locale’s cultural and aesthetic vibrance. The hotel is poised to become a coveted venue for the Rajasthan wedding circuit, offering substantial indoor and outdoor event space totaling over 2,288 square meters, which includes elegant lawns and courtyards ideal for weddings, social events, and business conferences. Dining options will include four venues, ranging from an all-day restaurant to a specialty eatery and a bar. Recreational facilities will encompass an outdoor pool, a spa, a fitness center, and an executive lounge.
With the addition of Hilton Udaipur, Hilton’s portfolio in South Asia now includes 55 operational and pipeline hotels. This development is part of Hilton’s broader strategy to more than double its footprint in the region, reinforcing its commitment to becoming a dominant player in South Asia’s evolving hospitality landscape.
