As Himachal Pradesh ushers in its vibrant tourist season, visitors are not only eager to witness the first snowfalls but also to take advantage of attractive accommodation deals. From November 1st to December 20th, travelers can benefit from significant discounts ranging between 20% and 40% at government-run hotels throughout the state. Key destinations such as Shimla, Manali, and Chamba are included in this special offer, aiming to draw both international tourists and local visitors.

Following the conclusion of the monsoon season, Himachal Pradesh has seen a notable rise in tourist numbers, especially in the charming towns of Shimla and Manali. To leverage this increased footfall, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has introduced this enticing promotion, which remains available even after the Diwali celebrations. Specifically, visitors to Manali can enjoy a substantial 40% discount on their stays, making it an ideal spot for weekend retreats. In total, discounts are applicable at 56 HPTDC hotels across various regions, including Kullu, Dharamshala, and other picturesque locations. Tourists are encouraged to book their accommodations online via the HPTDC website to take advantage of these limited-time offers.

As the region experiences a drop in temperatures, the crisp cold becomes more pronounced, especially in higher altitudes. For instance, Tabo in Lahaul Spiti has seen temperatures plummet to a chilly 0.7°C, while Hamirpur remains relatively milder at 32°C. The Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of snowfall and rain in elevated areas such as Mandi and Kullu, as well as Chamba, Lahaul Spiti, and Kinnaur on October 29th. Fortunately, clearer skies are expected to follow these initial weather disturbances.

Celebrate Diwali with a Scenic Getaway

With Diwali on the horizon, several states are preparing for an extended weekend that includes a two-day holiday for the festival, complemented by additional days off due to the weekend and Haryana Day on November 1st. This prolonged break offers a perfect opportunity for families and individuals to retreat to the serene landscapes of Himachal Pradesh. Destinations like Manali and Shimla boast pleasant weather during this period, attracting tourists keen to explore the region’s natural splendor.
