Hungarian tourism demand drops nearly ten percent in July

Hungarian tourism demand dropped by nearly ten percent in the month of July.

Visitor nights at commercial and private tourism housings in Hungary fell by 1.0 percent to 6,440,000 in July compared to the identical time a year before on deterioration in reservations by local tourists, as per data provided by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).


The amount of visitor nights consumed by local tourists declined by 8.4 percent to 3,879,000. However, visitor nights consumed by overseas tourists increased by 12.7 percent to 2,561,000.

Germans consumed 412,000 visitor nights at tourism housings in Hungary in July. This is more than any
other race.

Polish tourists consumed 272,000 visitor nights and tourists from Czechia 237,000 visitor nights, said the KSH.
