MSC World Asia has entered one of the most important stages of its construction programme after leaving the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard for its first sea trial. MSC Cruises confirmed through its official company channel that the vessel had begun testing at sea, moving the project closer to its planned delivery and passenger debut.

The milestone has major implications for Mediterranean cruise tourism. From December 2026, the new World Class vessel is scheduled to operate seven-night voyages linking Spain, France, Italy and Malta.
