The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the leading hospitality firm in India, has just announced the signing of a Taj branded hotel in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, marking a significant Brownfield project for the company.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Development, IHCL said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s vision of expanding its presence in key commercial and leisure destinations in India. Dehradun with is its thriving tourism is also a major hub for education and software industries and is slated to grow in the coming years. We are delighted to announce our partnership with La Roche Hotels & Resorts for the development of this hotel.”
Strategically positioned off Rajpur Road, linking Dehradun to Mussorie, the 215-room hotel stands close to the city’s commercial districts and neighboring tourist attractions. Its amenities will encompass an all-day dining venue, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge. Additionally, the hotel will boast over 8,000 sq. ft. of event space, including meeting rooms and a pre-function area. Leisure facilities will include a spa, swimming pool, and fitness center.

This addition brings IHCL’s tally to ten hotels, spanning Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands in Uttarakhand, including five properties currently under development.
