The recent loss of innocent lives in Israel due to the actions of Hamas terrorists has deeply saddened all industry professionals, exhibitors and buyers at IMEX. We vehemently denounce these acts of terrorism and firmly believe that there can be no justification for such heinous acts. As an industry and as a society, we hold an unwavering zero-tolerance stance against terrorism, as well as all forms of hate, racism, and antisemitism.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of Israel and the entire region who have been tragically affected by these senseless acts of violence. As we prepare for the global gathering at IMEX America next week, we are saddened by the absence of our Israeli colleagues who have directly felt the impact of these events.
It serves as a poignant reminder that the business events industry is founded on principles of peace, inclusivity, and mutual respect. We firmly believe that our mission of bringing people together, fostering better human connections, and promoting understanding is essential in a world where empathy is greatly needed. We are reminded of our collective duty to drive positive change through the work we engage in.
During IMEX America, we will observe a minute of silence to honor the victims and those affected by these tragic events. We hope for a swift cessation of the violence, with no more innocent lives being lost, as we hold onto the hope for a more peaceful future.
