In Miami, Florida, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation and Hidden Worlds started its 18-day oceanic adventure with the name – Our Ocean, Our Future. This campaign was launched to promote planet stewardship. Also, it was done to bring awareness to ocean conservation. The immersive, educational and entertaining journey into the marine life rallied local, national and foreign attendees related to the significance of safeguarding and protecting the ocean.
The Director General of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, Latia Duncombe, said that the importance of their affiliation with Hidden Worlds goes far beyond The Bahamas. It creates commitment to encourage action and tell the world why safeguarding their oceans are critical to the environment and humankind. Of many UN climate change committees, the Bahamas is a proud member along with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, which is entrusted for setting up of global standards in terms of destination management and encouraging sustainable tourism globally. For them, sustainability isn’t just a talking point, it’s a continued existence, and they are thankful to organizations that share that emotion and are perking up consumer awareness.
At the centre of Wynwood’s art district, the Bahamas and Hidden Worlds started off the limited-run pop-up experience, with a VIP night that permitted industry partners, media guests, and others from The Bahamas Protect Areas Fund and The Bahamas National Trust.
