Heading Towards Sustainable Transportation
Interparking provides over 13,000 parking spots at Brussels Airport. Previously, only 50 parking spaces were designated for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. However, in response to the increasing adoption of electric cars, 500 additional charging stations have been installed in P1 and P3, strategically positioned in front of the airport terminal for passenger convenience. Moreover, 200 new charging stations have been introduced in the P1 parking zone exclusively for staff use, bringing the total number of parking spots with charging facilities to 750.

“At Interparking, we are committed to contributing to a greener mobility. The addition of these charging points at Brussels Airport is just a fraction of our ambitious project: to extensively roll out electric charging stations in Belgium and in the 8 other European countries we serve,” says Roland Cracco, CEO of Interparking.

Electric mobility is an integral part of Brussels Airport’s sustainability strategy,” explains Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport. “All our passengers are already transported on tarmac in electric busses and we are fully electrifying our own company fleet. Overall, the number of electric cars is growing, so the need for charging points increases as well. Providing the necessary infrastructure for our passengers and staff is therefore a priority. Thanks to our partner Interparking, passengers will be able to recharge their vehicles in our car parks while on holiday.”

Recharge your car while rejuvenating yourself at the car parks equipped with cutting-edge charging stations. Here, passengers can replenish both their vehicle’s battery and their own energy levels while on holiday. The Interparking team is in the final stages of wiring and technical setup to ensure a seamless and safe user experience. With 700 new charging stations set to be gradually activated starting from March, users can expect convenient access.

These power stations accept any charging card and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Users who activate them with Pcard+ from Interparking will enjoy waived activation costs. Designed for long-term parking, these slow-charge stations are ideal for vehicles parked for several days or weeks during travel. Plus, there are no extra parking fees even after the charging process is complete, making it a hassle-free experience.
