J&K Open golf tournament 2023 – A major landmark for J&K tourism

The extremely well-respected J&K Open golf tournament for 2023, was hosted under the sponsorships of the Tourism Department of J&K by the Directorate of Tourism Jammu in partnership with the Jammu Tawi Golf Course and PGTI.

Currently, this event is in its second edition. From October 4th to 8th, 2023, this event took place at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course. It hosted a total of 126 golfers worldwide. Their esteemed participation elevated the global prestige of this event even further. This tournament flawlessly mixed culture, sports, and culinary craftsmanship, exceeding all hopes and leaving behind an ineffaceable mark on the participants as well as the spectators.

The inauguration of this tournament was graced by the Advisor to LG, Mr. Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Dr. Syed.Abid Rasheed, Secretary Tourism, J&K, together with well- respected VIPs, giving an air of grandeur to the event.

The Advisor, Mr. Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, appreciated the event as an important platform for displaying the huge potential of J&K as a golf tourism destination of India. He also appreciated the PGTI and Tourism Department for their praiseworthy initiations in arranging the event and offering local golfers with
priceless acquaintance. Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism, highlighted the pivotal role of the event in improving golf tourism in J&K.
