Karnataka Tourism Roadshow held in Ahmedabad to showcase state’s tourism attractions

On August 22, 2023, the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, presented an engaging Roadshow at the Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Over 150 travel trade leaders, media experts, and distinguished visitors attended the event to see the grandeur of Karnataka’s tourist attractions.

The Roadshow intended to highlight Karnataka’s wide and compelling array of attractions. These include its vast cultural legacy, historic sites, unspoilt beaches, green landscapes, animal sanctuaries, and modern metropolitan experiences.

The evening began with interactive Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions, which allowed tour operators and travel agents to network and explore prospective collaborations with Karnataka’s top tourism executives and stakeholders.

The evening’s main attraction was an immersive audio-visual performance highlighting Karnataka Tourism, in which fascinating graphics dynamically expressed Karnataka’s inherent draw – its beautiful natural landscapes, colorful cultural tapestry, and warm hospitality.Following this presentation, an interactive Q&A session encouraged attendees to look further into Karnataka’s diverse range of tourism options.

The Roadshow brilliantly celebrated Karnataka’s cultural legacy with a stunning performance of Yakshagana, an ancient dance style that vividly reflected the state’s aesthetic beauty. The evening concluded with an enriching networking event, which provided guests with a wonderful opportunity to meet with leaders from Karnataka’s tourist sector as well as fellow attendees.

The Karnataka Tourism Roadshow in Ahmedabad acted as a dynamic platform for revealing Karnataka’s hidden riches, emphasizing the state’s enormous potential as a prime tourism destination in India.

The Roadshow was graced by the presence of Dr. Ramprasath ManoharVaratharajan, Director of the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka. Shri. Ratnakar HT, Tourism Advisor of Jungle Lodges & Resorts, and a devoted group of Karnataka stakeholders joined him.
