Kenya Airways, in collaboration with the Kenya Tourism Board, is embarking on a mission to elevate Kenya’s visibility as a prime tourism spot in North America via a dedicated trade roadshow. This event is scheduled to unfold in New York, Boston, and Toronto from March 19th to 21st, 2024, with the objective of promoting Kenya and kindling interest in travel to the nation.

In response to the increasing interest in visiting Kenya, Kenya Airways is adding two extra flights to its New York service from June 15th to September 28th, 2024, to cater to the summer travel peak. This enhancement increases the total weekly flights to nine, featuring dual flight options on Thursdays and Saturdays (morning and afternoon) from New York. The updated flight schedule not only offers the convenience of direct flights but also introduces an attractive same-day arrival option, allowing travelers to depart Nairobi in the morning and arrive in New York by the afternoon.

The updated flight itinerary is detailed below:

The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife reports that Kenya welcomed 1.75 million international visitors in 2023, a significant increase from 1.48 million in 2022. This surge underscores a growing demand expected to further augment international tourist arrivals by 825,000 annually.

Since its inception in 2018, Kenya Airways’ direct route from New York to Nairobi has served as a vital conduit to East Africa, facilitating both business and leisure travel across the region.
