Kim Wright Joins New York City Tourism & Conventions as New Senior Vice President of Membership

New York City Tourism + Conventions is thrilled to announce the addition of Kim Wright to their Senior Leadership team in the capacity of Senior Vice President, Membership. Wright will be responsible for leading the membership sales and services, aiming to amplify engagement and contributions from the organization’s vast network of nearly 2,000 members and delegates. She will be working directly under the guidance of Kelly Curtin, the Executive Vice President of Membership & Destination Services at New York City Tourism + Conventions.

Bringing over twenty years of rich experience in the tourism sector, Kim Wright has a versatile background that spans product innovation, ticketing solutions, operational management, strategic partnerships, and financial strategy. Before her recent appointment, Kim held the position of Vice President of Experiences, Development & Partnerships at the Hornblower Group. Her impressive career also includes a significant tenure as the Senior Vice President of Revenue & Business Analytics at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, where she was instrumental in the institution’s launch. Furthermore, Kim has effectively managed the Sales & Tourism department at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and led the Circle Line-Statue of Liberty Ferry team to success.

In 2023, New York City witnessed a robust economic resurgence with the arrival of around 62.2 million visitors, contributing to an economic output of $74 billion throughout the five boroughs. Predictions for 2024 suggest that the city will host an estimated 64.8 million tourists, further bolstering New York City’s economic landscape.
