Korean Air has received recognition for four of its wines across three categories in the 2023 Business Traveller’s Cellars in the Sky Awards.

In the best first class red wine category, Korean Air secured bronze medals for its Shafer TD-9 2019 and Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz 2016. Additionally, it received a bronze medal in the business class sparkling wine category for its Champagne Piper-Heidsieck Rare Champagne 2007 and a highly commended rating in the best first class fortified/dessert wine category for its Château Guiraud Sauternes 2002.

Business Traveller, a renowned global travel magazine, has been hosting the Cellars in the Sky awards since 1985. Airlines worldwide are invited annually to submit their first and business class wines for blind tastings conducted by a panel of esteemed wine experts.

Korean Air has been consistently recognized in the Cellars in the Sky Awards since 2002, achieving first place for Best First Class Sparkling and Best First Class Fortified Wine, and first place for Best Business Class Red Wine in 2017. In 2019, it secured second place for Best First and Business Class Rosé Wines, and in 2020, it attained third place for Best First Class Fortified/Dessert Wine.

To ensure top-notch service, Korean Air proactively pre-orders premium wines to maintain their quality. The airline also offers a diverse selection of wines, including local specialties, catering to the varied preferences of its passengers.
