Mumbai, India: Renowned spiritual leader Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji leads a youth retreat to Lakshadweep’s Agatti Islands, blending adventure with spiritual growth transforming Lakshadweep as spiritual tourism hub with Youth Spiritual Retreat.
The esteemed spiritual guide and visionary, Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, the driving force behind Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, is scheduled to lead a group of over a thousand young individuals from various parts of India to the Agatti Islands in Lakshadweep. This gathering, termed a ‘Youth Retreat,’ is set to take place from January 31st to February 2nd.
This retreat presents a unique opportunity for these young participants to delve into the rich cultural heritage and diverse ecological wonders of Lakshadweep. According to the youth committee responsible for organizing this event, this initiative has been in planning for several months, inspired by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji’s vision to explore India’s hidden gems.
In line with the esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s campaign to #ExploreIndianIslands, the participants are preparing for a variety of local experiences. They will engage with the indigenous tribal culture and dances of the Agatti Islands and interact closely with the local community. The agenda includes adventurous activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and jet skiing in the pristine waters of Lakshadweep, alongside spiritual and personal development activities like devotional performances, workshops, meditation sessions, and enlightening discussions with Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji by the seaside. This visit aims to foster personal growth and introspection amidst the serene and abundant natural beauty of Lakshadweep.
Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji has been instrumental in guiding the youth through the ‘5 S Program’ which encompasses Sadhana, Seva, Sanskruti, Satsang, and Sports, nurturing a new wave of young individuals who are progressive yet deeply connected to their cultural roots. Living by the Mission Statement ‘Realise One’s True Self and Serve Others Selflessly’, these youths are actively involved in various altruistic initiatives, like the Global Youth Festival 2023 Cyclothon Edition, where participants worldwide cycled to support a cause, with bicycles being donated to underprivileged rural communities.
Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, a beacon of spiritual wisdom, regularly conducts Satsangs – spiritual teachings, making ancient Indian scriptures accessible and relatable to the youth. His guidance extends to organizing journeys to various places of historical and spiritual significance in India, contributing to the spiritual growth of the participants.
