The premier co-located trade exhibitions, SIGEP Asia 2026 and Restaurant Asia 2026, officially commenced today at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre. The symposium concluded with a hands-on workshop titled “Design and Build Your First AI Agent.” Facilitated by the keynote speakers along with Kai Yi (Co-Founder of StaffAny), Sung (CEO of Grain), and Alan (Co-Founder of Oddle), the session guided participants in designing an operational AI agent. Attendees mapped triggers, inputs, steps, human checkpoints, and outputs, leaving with a completed agent canvas to implement directly within their businesses.
Complementing this educational focus, the Technology Innovation Pavilion showcases live solutions in action. Operators can interact with robotics for cleaning and hospitality, food-waste management systems, AI-enabled analytical tools, membership applications, and digital marketing technologies.
SIGEP Asia 2026: Elite Craftsmanship and Global Competitions
As the regional extension of the world-famous SIGEP World in Rimini, Italy, SIGEP Asia 2026 brings artisan gelato, pastry, bakery, pizza, chocolate, coffee, and foodservice together with Asia’s expanding market.
The show features three world-class professional competitions:
1. Gelato World Cup – Asia Selection
Held from 15 to 17 July 2026, this highly anticipated competition features eight national teams: Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Qatar, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. They are competing for the chance to represent Asia at the Gelato World Cup in January 2028 at SIGEP World. With Singapore participating as the reigning world champion, the stakes are exceptionally high.
The technical execution, presentation, and quality are being evaluated by an esteemed international judging panel, including:

- Sergio Dondoli, Vice President of the Gelato World Cup

2. Bakery World Cup Asia Selection 2026 – BREAD IN THE CITY
This inaugural Asian selection is co-organized by the Singapore Bakery & Confectionery Trade Association (SBCTA) in collaboration with IEG Asia. Elite teams from Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia, Singapore, and the Republic of Korea are competing across bread-making, viennoiserie, pizza, laminated pastry, and artistic showpieces. The event runs alongside the prestigious International Union of Bakers and Confectioners (UIBC) Congress 2026, held in Singapore from 13 to 15 July.
The jury features master bakers: Chef Matteo Cunsolo, Chef Elisabete Ferreira, Chef Günther Koerffer, Chef Han Sang Baek, Chef Peng Fu Dong, and Chef Tomohiro Nogami.
3. Singapore National Coffee Championships 2026
Returning for its third edition in collaboration with the Singapore Coffee Association, the country’s premier coffee professionals are competing in the Barista, Brewers Cup, Latte Art, and Cup Tasters championships. Winners will represent Singapore on the international stage.
