The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) and the Culinary Tourism Alliance are thrilled to announce a new strategic alliance to create new opportunities for operators across the culinary tourism value chain to further enhance Canada’s tourism sector.

TIAC, representing the heart of Canada’s vibrant tourism industry, and the Culinary Tourism Alliance, a leading force in the culinary tourism industry, have come together to launch an Associate Program that will bring closer collaboration between these industries.

“We are excited to partner with the Culinary Tourism Alliance to foster a stronger sense of unity within our vibrant tourism industry,” said Beth Potter, President and CEO of TIAC. “This Associate Program not only promotes cross-industry collaboration but also provides invaluable resources and networking opportunities to our culinary partners.”

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), culinary tourism professionals, businesses and organizations affiliated with the Culinary Tourism Alliance will have the exclusive opportunity to become Associate Members of TIAC for a fee of just $25. This unprecedented offering is poised to open doors for culinary tourism enthusiasts, agritourism operators, artisan food and beverage producers, chefs, restaurants, and food-related businesses across the nation.

The Associate Program will enable members of the Culinary Tourism Alliance to tap into TIAC’s extensive network of tourism professionals, gain access to industry insights, participate in exclusive events, and engage in advocacy efforts that support and promote culinary tourism excellence in Canada.

“We believe that the fusion of Canada’s agriculture and culinary talent along with its world-class tourism offerings can create unforgettable experiences for visitors,” said Rebecca Mackenzie, CEO of the Culinary Tourism Alliance. “This collaboration will empower our members to contribute even more to the Canadian tourism landscape.”

The MoU signing marks the beginning of an exciting journey for both organizations, fostering innovation, diversity, and collaboration within the Canadian tourism and culinary sectors. By bringing together the excellence of TIAC and the culinary tourism expertise of the Culinary Tourism Alliance, this partnership will undoubtedly elevate the experiences of travellers and food enthusiasts alike.
