The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is thrilled to unveil the roster of star-studded chefs and culinary experts set to grace the second Antigua & Barbuda Restaurant Week (ABRW), kicking off on May 4. This fortnight-long festivity invites both locals and visitors to partake in an array of exceptional, budget-friendly dining and event offerings that highlight the unique flavors, eateries, art, and culture of the twin islands. Highlighting this year’s event is the comeback of Chef Andi Oliver, who will spearhead activities at “The Pepperpot Rum Shop,” a 100-day gastronomic and cultural pop-up venture.

Shermain Jeremy, the Special Projects and Events Manager at the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, remarked, “Our annual Restaurant Week is a showcase of our finest culinary offerings, ranging from beloved casual spots to upscale multi-course dining experiences. With the impressive lineup of Caribbean culinary stars and the enthusiastic participation we’re anticipating from both locals and visitors, we’re set to elevate our twin islands’ food scene, adding a sophisticated flair to our diverse cuisines.”

In its sophomore year, ABRW will exclusively feature celebrity chefs and beverage experts of Caribbean descent. Notable participants include:

The Honourable Charles Fernandez, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation, and Investment, expressed optimism about the event’s impact, stating, “With an increasing number of travelers choosing Antigua and Barbuda as their holiday destination, we aim to further amplify our culinary prestige both regionally and globally with the 2024 Restaurant Week, promising an enriching dive into our culture and gastronomy for our visitors.”

The event’s itinerary includes Prix Fixe menus and discounted dining deals ranging from $25 to $75 USD, covering lunch, dinner, along with wine and cocktails, at over 20 participating restaurants. Guests can expect a wide array of dishes catering to various tastes and dietary needs, accompanied by live music, entertainment, and activities for children.

Coinciding with ABRW, The Pepperpot Rum Shop, a 100-day pop-up initiated by The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Treehouse Beach Club, and British Chef Andi Oliver, will celebrate the national dish of Antigua & Barbuda. Following the successful launch of Oliver’s “The Pepperpot Diaries: Stories From My Caribbean Table” in 2023, the pop-up aims to offer a rich cultural experience through food, drink, music, art, and film in a sustainable, eco-friendly setting for 100 days starting from late April.
