MSC Cruises, in collaboration with its wholly-owned Italian tour operator Going, has unveiled a novel stay and cruise program for the summer of 2024. This program is designed to enrich the cruising experience by integrating it with extended stays at various iconic destinations. The initiative covers both Mediterranean and Caribbean routes, offering passengers enhanced flexibility to extend their cruising adventures into fuller, richer holiday experiences.
Under this new scheme, passengers have the opportunity to prolong their seven-night sea voyages into nine or ten-night holidays. This is achievable through the inclusion of pre- or post-cruise hotel stays. Specifically, the program offers two nights’ accommodation at a 4-star hotel in cities like Athens, Venice, and Rome, or at a 3-star hotel in Miami, with the option to extend up to three nights at a 4-star hotel in New York. Each stay includes breakfast and a half-day excursion that aims to showcase the top attractions of the respective city.
Moreover, the convenience is further amplified by the inclusion of ground transfers between airports, hotels, and the cruise ship, ensuring a seamless transition for passengers both at the beginning and end of their cruises.
The stay & cruise packages are available for voyages on 11 of MSC Cruises’ ships, connecting with five pivotal destinations: Athens, Venice, Rome, Miami, and New York. These offerings are tailored around specific ships and itineraries, such as MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia, MSC Musica, MSC Seaside, and MSC Seaview for those wishing to explore Rome, or MSC Armonia, MSC Lirica, and MSC Sinfonia for guests interested in Venice. Additionally, the Caribbean itinerary features the MSC Seascape departing from Miami, and the MSC Meraviglia sets sail from New York, providing further choices for passengers.
This enhanced stay & cruise initiative by MSC Cruises is poised to significantly impact the tourism industry by offering more comprehensive travel experiences that combine the relaxation of a cruise with the exploration of world-famous destinations. This approach not only attracts a broader demographic of travelers seeking varied and enriched travel experiences but also boosts local economies through increased tourist spending.
Furthermore, the inclusion of air travel booking capabilities through MSC Cruises adds an additional layer of convenience, potentially increasing passenger satisfaction and loyalty. The upcoming winter 2024/2025 program expansion, including an add-on package for Istanbul, suggests MSC Cruises’ commitment to diversifying and enhancing their offerings, aligning with global travel trends towards more integrated and immersive vacation experiences.
Through these innovative packages, MSC Cruises is set to redefine maritime tourism, offering passengers a unique blend of leisure and exploration, thereby reinforcing its position as a leader in the global cruise industry.
