NAVBLUE and Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) have inked a long-term deal for Mission+, NAVBLUE’s Electronic Flight Assistant, streamlining pilots’ access to comprehensive mission data through a single modular digital platform.

The partnership encompasses the rollout of Mission+ across Delta’s extensive fleet of over 900 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, marking one of the aviation industry’s largest shifts from paper to an Electronic Flight Folder (eFF) digital solution. Additionally, NAVBLUE and Delta will collaborate on advancing the application with new features tailored to pilot needs.

Delta has played a pivotal role in Mission+’s development from its inception, contributing to its reputation as the most user-friendly eFF available, minimizing pilot interactions. Engaging in the early adopter program alongside other major airlines, Delta provided invaluable feedback to tailor the tool for mission management throughout all flight phases.

The agreement reflects Delta’s specific requirements and community-driven demands, ensuring Mission+ FLIGHT, the integrated flight folder module, seamlessly integrates with its existing ground environment for uninterrupted operations.

The swift implementation process, completed in under two years, includes deployment, testing, and operational adoption by Delta’s entire pilot community, comprising over 17,000 pilots who now rely on Mission+.

By eliminating the need for printed flight plan information, Mission+ is projected to save over 77.5 million pages annually, equivalent to around 4,000 trees, reinforcing Delta’s commitment to sustainability integration across its operations.

Marc Lemeilleur, CEO of NAVBLUE said: “On behalf of the NAVBLUE teams, I would like to thank Delta for their trust in this product and our people. By choosing Mission+ they are enabling their pilots to benefit from all the data and information they need to perform their mission via a unique modular digital solution. Working together we enabled the deployment of Mission+ on the entire fleet in less than two years, which is a great success for all of us!”

Ryan Gumm, Flight Operations Senior Vice President of Delta, said: “Achieving this major milestone is part of our commitment to removing operational complexities, as well as moving toward a more digital, sustainable future. Mission+ allows our pilots more time to focus on what Delta people do best – expertly serve our customers with safety top of mind.”
