Nepal PM made the country center of world tourism

Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, hastily came from a security conference to open this event personally, showing the re-starting of Nepal’s bright tourism in the coming days.

The 4th Himalayan Travel Mart 2023 was inaugurated by the Chief Guest by lighting the traditional Nepali Lamp.

At the opening of this event, Mr. Sudan Kirati, the Honorable Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal, delivered his speech, as did the Chairman PATA Nepal Chapter, Mr. Bibhuti Chand Thakur.

Since 2019, this is the first Travel Mart when pandemic caused temporary closure of tourism worldwide.

Arranged by the PATA Nepal Chapter, the World Tourism Network took part as a strategic partner and showed its presence completely, with Juergen Steinmetz, the Chairman, leading the WTN team.

He will share his thoughts in a panel related to Rejuvenating Travel Spirit and Tourism Businesses.

Mr. Vijay Poonoosamy, the Head of the WTN Aviation Group, tomorrow will give a keynote speech. He is an Honorary Member of the Hermes Air Transport Organization, as well as the member of the World Economic Forum’s Gender Parity Steering Committee and a member of the Lucerne Advisory Board of the World Tourism Forum. For Etihad Airways, he was the erstwhile VP.

Mr. Ubaraj Adhikari, the Executive Chairman, Nepal Airlines Corporation, addressed the audience in tonight’s opening regarding the latest developments.
