The tourism industry in Nepal is improving faster after the pandemic, with 3,26,528 tourist entrances by air during the course of January to April this year. Of these, approximately 28 per cent were Indians.

Nandini Lahe-Thapa, who is the senior director of PR and Publicity at Nepal Tourism Board, said that tourist influxes in Nepal have amplified considerably in the current times, which is very optimistic and heartening.

The tourism board of Nepal projected nearly 1.2 million tourist entrances this year, which is comparable to the entrances that the Himalayan country witnessed in 2020.
