New appointments are taking the Hotel industry in a storm

Brad McGlynn is selected as Hotel Manager at Sudima Kaikōura. This might open in October 2022. McGlynn has previously managed some of the leading hotels in New Zealand. This includes Chateau Tongariro. They have most recently served as Hotel managers in Sudima Christchurch City.

McGlynn has acknowledged this as a privilege to be given the responsibility of opening a new hotel. They said the Hotel will be especially popular as it is located in a prime location. Sudima Kaikoura will be the company’s seventh hotel in the region.

Heritage also has appointed a former Air NZ exec to lead operations. Heritage Hotel Management has recently appointed Rachael Nicholson as the Group General Manager of Options. Nicholson has a seniority command and has held leadership positions for the cruise and airline industries. She has worked in UK, US and New Zealand sectors.

With a strong 23 years of experience, she adds leadership, and experience to Heritage Hotel’s panorama of managers. In her recent adventures, Nicholson has led the airline’s Global Re-start programme. This includes the establishment of advice in New York. She has also led the airline’s COVID response team.

Heritage Hotel Management CEO Graham Yan said that they are delighted to have someone so talented and experienced in the business. The officials celebrated the coming of Nicholson.

Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) has appointed Sandra Smith and David Tonkin as senior hoteliers. The appointment has been ahead of the planned merger with Accommodation Association. Both of the senior Hoteliers have an experience of 30 years. Smith has spent nine years at Switzerland-based travel services company Kuoni Travel. Smith has also served IHG since 2009.

Sebel Ringwood welcomes new Head Chef Nathan George. He will work as on site restaurant in The Orchard Restaurant and Bar. George has a decade of culinary experience and has been a key player in several bars including RidgeView Wines in the Hunter Valley and Little Odessa bar in Fitzroy.
