Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is pleased to introduce Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik as its new Chief Executive Officer, beginning November 20, 2023.
Azman, a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of varied experience, is poised to lead Malaysia’s business events market to unparalleled success. His wide history in corporate management, covering areas such as tourism, hospitality, food and beverage, and technology, makes him an invaluable member of MyCEB’s leadership team.
Azman offers a wealth of experience to his current post, having previously contributed to the growth of prominent businesses such as Damansara Holdings Berhad and Johor Corporation. His significant position in managing Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia, in particular, demonstrated his capacity to increase firm profitability through innovative techniques.
Azman’s passion for team-building and solid track record in managing varied stakeholders are crucial traits, according to MyCEB’s Board of Directors. These characteristics will position him as a champion for the numerous organizations and interests that shape the business events market.
Azman emphasized Malaysia’s fortunate position in navigating industrial advancements in his vision for a “new era” in the corporate events industry. He intends to use digitization and technology improvements to attract high-quality international events and delegations, establishing Malaysia as a regional powerhouse.
