In the picturesque landscapes of Northern Ireland, golf enthusiasts are invited to experience the thrill of over 90 world-class golf courses, making it a global hub for golfing aficionados. Nestled amid undulating terrains and rugged coastlines, these courses are a testament to the artistry of master golfers and the natural beauty of the region.

Leading the pack are the iconic Royal County Down and Royal Portrush, consistently ranked among the world’s best. Royal County Down, nestled between the majestic Mourne Mountains and Dundrum Bay, has claimed the title of the world’s number-one course for three consecutive years. Its Championship Links, a haven for top tournaments, is gearing up to host the prestigious Irish Open in 2024.

Meanwhile, Royal Portrush, perched on the breathtaking Causeway Coast, stands as one of the globe’s most challenging courses. After hosting the 148th Open in 2019, the Dunluce Links is set to be the stage for The Open once again in 2025.

Venturing further along the Causeway Coast, Portstewart golf course and its towering sand dunes offer a unique challenge. Recognized for sustainability efforts, it, along with Royal County Down and Belvoir Park in Belfast, is among the Top 100 Sustainable Golf Courses in Europe.

For those seeking hidden gems, Castlerock Links on the North Coast is endorsed by actor Michael Douglas. Co-hosting the 2023 ISPS HANDA World Invitational, it features the famous Leg of Mutton 4th hole, a demanding yet thrilling experience over a winding stream.

Galgorm Castle, another co-host of the 2023 World Invitational, stands as a top parkland course within the historic Galgorm Estate. Accompanied by a golfing academy of excellence, it attracts players and enthusiasts alike.

Hilton Templepatrick, a newer addition, has swiftly become a premier parkland course. Crafted by renowned designers David Feherty and David Jones, its challenging fairways and scenic lakes offer a delightful golfing escapade.

On the other end of the spectrum, dating back to 1881, Royal Belfast claims the title of Ireland’s oldest golf club. Overlooking Belfast Lough, its charming links layout has been endorsed by Padraig Harrington among his top 30 courses.

Lastly, in the serene Fermanagh Lake lands, the championship Faldo course at Lough Erne Resort, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, promises a harmonious blend of outstanding scenery and challenging holes.
