In February the traffic figures for Norwegian showed that passenger numbers have remained stable over the second month of 2022.

640,000 passengers flew with the Norwegian carrier lines.

With the load factor was over 81 per cent, the ticket sales of Norwegian grew the most since the pre-pandemic levels in early 2020.

An important factor in this rising amount of tourists can be attributed to Norway and many European countries removed entry rules and other measures and restrictions on international travellers that are associated with the pandemic.

While it is a month traditionally associated with less travel, this February, the numbers this month are similar to the ones in January.

Geir Karlsen, chief executive of Norwegian, has said that as many European nations reduce the traveling restrictions on the travellers owing to reduced COVID-19 cases, the company saw an increased demand to cope up with the new wave of travellers who were looking to travel to various destinations.

To cope up with this demand, Norwegian has said that they would initiate a comprehensive summer program this year to meet the increased demand.

Geir Karlsen has further stated that they are particularly pleased that their aircraft have had a load factor of over 81 per cent. The company has said that they carried 643,089 passengers in February, compared with 61,374 in February 2021.

Norwegian had an average of 44 aircraft in operation last month, and 99.8 per cent of scheduled flights were operated.
