The new service will strengthen Scoot’s presence in mainland China while providing more travel choices for passengers during the year-end holiday period. The route will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft, supporting the airline’s continued network growth across Asia.

Scoot Opens New Gateway to Guiyang’s Cultural and Natural Attractions

The launch of the Singapore–Guiyang service introduces travellers to one of China’s most scenic and culturally diverse destinations. Located in Guizhou province, Guiyang is recognised for its mountain landscapes, rich greenery, unique ethnic minority cultures and comfortable climate.

The city offers a combination of heritage attractions and natural wonders that appeal to international visitors. Travellers can explore Qingyan Ancient Town, a historic destination known for its preserved architecture, traditional streets and cultural importance.

Beyond the city, visitors can discover Huangguoshu Waterfall, one of Asia’s largest waterfalls. The attraction is surrounded by dramatic landscapes and remains one of Guizhou’s most popular tourism highlights.

The new flight connection is expected to support tourism growth between Singapore and Guizhou by making the destination more accessible for leisure travellers, holidaymakers and regional explorers.

New Singapore–Guiyang Flights Strengthen China Connectivity

Scoot will operate the new route three times weekly from 26 October 2026. The service will provide passengers with another direct travel option between Singapore and mainland China.

One-way economy class fares will start from S$158, including taxes. Tickets will be available through Scoot’s official booking channels, including its website and mobile application, from 20 August 2026.

With Guiyang added to its schedule, Scoot will increase its mainland China operations to 81 weekly flights serving 16 cities. The expansion reflects the airline’s strategy of improving connectivity across major Asian markets while responding to increasing demand for regional travel.

The new destination will also contribute to Scoot’s wider international network, which will grow to 86 destinations across 18 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Europe.

Airline Boosts Flight Frequencies Ahead of Peak Travel Season

Alongside the Guiyang launch, Scoot is increasing flight frequencies across several destinations as part of its Northern Winter 2026/2027 schedule, running from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027.

The additional services are designed to provide more flexibility for travellers during the busy year-end holiday season when demand for regional trips typically rises.

In Southeast Asia, Scoot will increase flights to several popular leisure destinations.

Services to Hat Yai in Thailand will rise from 12 to 14 flights per week, giving travellers more options to visit one of southern Thailand’s growing tourism destinations.

Flights to Phuket will increase from 17 to 21 times weekly, strengthening access to one of Thailand’s most popular beach destinations.

The airline will also expand services to Clark in the Philippines, increasing flights from seven to 10 times weekly from December 2026. The increase will support tourism and travel connections to Central Luzon.

Flights to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia will also grow from 10 to 13 weekly services from January 2027, providing additional capacity for visitors exploring Sabah’s beaches, islands and natural attractions.

More Asia Destinations Receive Additional Scoot Flights

Scoot’s network expansion will extend beyond Southeast Asia, with additional capacity planned for other popular destinations.

The airline will operate daily flights to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, while gradually transitioning operations from Embraer E190-E2 aircraft to aircraft from the Airbus A320 family. The move will support increased capacity and operational flexibility on the route.

In Japan, flights to Okinawa will increase from four to five weekly services, providing more opportunities for travellers visiting the island destination known for beaches, marine attractions and unique cultural experiences.

Scoot will also increase flights to Tiruchirappalli in India from 12 to 14 weekly services from December 2026, strengthening connectivity between Singapore and southern India.
