PATA Youth Symposium, held by the Tourism Ministry of India

The PATA Youth Symposium, organized by the Tourism Ministry of India, happened in keeping with the PATA Travel Mart 2023 held on October 5 th and 6 th at the International Exhibition Convention Center (IECC), in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

This year’s PATA Youth Symposium targeted to endow and encourage leaders of tomorrow from the tourism sector by delivering a platform for tourism students and young tourism specialists to link with industry bests and peers, share their thoughts and visions, and pick up the up-to-date inclinations in the tourism segment.

This year’s extremely fruitful youth symposium greeted approximately 400 partakers from eight educational institutes in India, along with worldwide students from Hawaii, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. The symposium delivered a unique chance to provide power of speech to the young folks, where they could have their say and signify their generation by sharing their problem areas and concerns in the tourism segment, leading to growth of the sector.

Peter Semone, PATA Chair presented the idea of the Five Ps – People, Peace, Planet, Partnership, and
Prosperity. With the present problems occurring around the world, the travel and tourism segment has an
exclusive prospect to explore new methods of handling the threats in the current scenario and the youth is expected to play a vital role in dealing with these matters.
