On Sunday, a tragic aviation accident unfolded in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. A small plane, carrying several passengers, encountered a catastrophic event. Originating from Campinas in the neighboring state of Sao Paulo, the aircraft was en route when disaster struck.

According to eyewitness reports and firefighter accounts provided to AFP, the single-engine plane experienced a severe malfunction. It is believed to have broken apart mid-air, leading to its subsequent crash. This harrowing incident occurred around 10:30 am local time (1330 GMT), near the mining town of Itapeva, marking a somber moment in the area’s history.

The aftermath of the crash was devastating. Firefighters, upon reaching the site, confirmed the grim reality. Initially, reports indicated the discovery of three bodies. However, a subsequent update from the fire department revealed a more heartbreaking toll: a total of seven individuals aboard the aircraft were found deceased, confirming the severity of the accident.
