Qatar Airways launches direct flights to Doha, Qatar’s hub starting july 1, 2024

Qatar Airways declaration of its upcoming operations at Hamburg Airport in July 2024 presents thrilling travel opportunities for residents in northern Germany. Below are the main features and specifics of this announcement:

“Today I can make a very special announcement in the form of the long-haul route from Hamburg to Doha. One of the largest global airlines is coming to the north, emphasising the importance of Hamburg as a tourism and business destination. I am thrilled about this new service and wish Qatar Airways a good start here in Hamburg,” says Michael Eggenschwiler, CEO of Hamburg Airport until the end of 2023.

Christian Kunsch, who takes over as CEO of Hamburg Airport from 1 January 2024, adds: “Qatar Airways will connect Hamburg Airport with one of the most important international hubs. From Doha, the Qatar Airways route network is unparalleled. For our passengers, this means that many long-haul destinations will be even easier to reach in the future, bringing great advantages in terms of convenience and flexibility. At the same time, Hamburg is easier to reach for people from all over the world, whether they are coming here on vacation, to visit friends or for a business meeting.”

1. Commencement of Operations: Qatar Airways is set to launch its scheduled operations from Hamburg Airport starting July 1, 2024.
2. Frequency and Schedule: The airline will operate a daily service from Hamburg to its hub in Doha, Qatar. Flights will depart from Hamburg at 3:40 pm (local time) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with an alternate schedule at 9:20 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
3. Global Connectivity: This service opens up access to Qatar Airways’ extensive route network, connecting passengers to over 170 destinations worldwide. Hamad International Airport in Doha serves as the central hub, offering easy connections to various continents including Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
4. Diverse Destination Options: Passengers can explore a myriad of destinations, from popular locations such as the Maldives, Bangkok, and Cape Town to more exotic places like Goa in India, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and Chengdu in China.
5. Dreamliner Deployment: Notably, Qatar Airways will operate the Hamburg – Doha route using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This aircraft is recognized for its fuel efficiency, innovative design, spacious cabins, large windows, and advanced onboard technology, enhancing the overall travel experience.
6. Booking Information: Tickets for these flights can be purchased online through Qatar Airways’ official website or via authorized travel agents, with booking options available from the present date.
