Qatar Airways Shines the Curtain on the Future of Travel at ITB Berlin 2024

The premier airline of the Middle East announced an expansion in its flight schedules to 17 international locations over the upcoming year, introducing more frequent services to Berlin commencing this winter season.

Operating from Doha’s Hamad International Airport, which has been honored as the Middle East’s Best Airport by Skytrax for nine straight years, Qatar Airways extends its reach to over 170 global destinations. This includes an increase to five German cities beginning this summer.

Furthermore, at the ITB Berlin 2024’s opening day, Qatar Airways unveiled its latest breakthrough in digital technology – becoming the first airline globally to introduce a virtual digital human cabin crew, named Sama, showcasing a significant leap in enhancing passenger experience.

At the ITB Berlin this year, Qatar Airways announced an expansion of its flight services to 17 global destinations for the upcoming summer and winter seasons. Additionally, it introduced the second version of its virtual MetaHuman cabin crew named Sama.

Sama 2.0, an enhanced AI-driven cabin crew member, has been designed to provide passengers with personalized experiences through the airline’s virtual platform, QVerse. The unveiling of Sama featured a spectacular holographic presentation at Qatar Airways’ newly designed, innovative booth. Equipped with conversational AI, Sama demonstrated her extensive knowledge of Qatar Airways’ operations smoothly. The booth also includes a sensory pod that offers visitors a chance to experience the airline’s acclaimed Qsuite found in Business Class.

In further news from the event, the national airline of the State of Qatar announced an increase in its flight frequency to Berlin, moving from 14 to 18 weekly flights by the winter of 2024. This expansion, coupled with the upcoming first flight to Hamburg on July 1, 2024, underscores Qatar Airways’ dedication to enhancing its services to major European destinations.

Qatar Airways has expanded its presence in the German market by adding Hamburg, marking its fifth destination in Germany. This brings the airline’s total to 71 weekly flights to Germany, including an increased number of flights to Berlin, all of which will connect via the award-winning Hamad International Airport.
