China Southern Airlines Launches New Route Guangzhou-Doha in Partnership with Qatar Airways

China Southern Airlines, in partnership with Qatar Airways, has unveiled a new flight path from Guangzhou to Doha, starting 22 April 2024. This route will see four direct flights each week, serviced by the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787 aircraft.

As one of China’s leading airlines in terms of passenger volume, China Southern Airlines operates approximately 3,000 flights daily across over 200 international destinations. The introduction of this route reinforces the strategic alliance between China Southern Airlines and Qatar Airways, underpinned by the robust economic relationship between China and Qatar. China Southern is the third airline in China to enter into a codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways, following Cathay Pacific and Xiamen Airlines, both of which are also key partners.

This new service by China Southern Airlines facilitates access to Qatar Airways’ extensive global network, covering more than 170 locations via the prestigious Hamad International Airport. The collaboration not only offers passengers enhanced connectivity and greater travel options to significant regions in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe but also aims to boost both business and leisure travel between the two nations, further solidifying their bilateral relations.
