Radisson RED presents chic spaces characterized by unique designs, fostering a sense of inspiration, interaction, and connection with the essence of the destination. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant arts and entertainment scene surrounding Aotea, our latest launch introduces social hubs tailored for guests to unwind and embrace the relaxed ambiance of the hotel.

Following the reopening of New Zealand’s international borders in August 2022, the tourism sector has experienced significant growth, welcoming 2.96 million overseas visitors by December 2023, marking an increase of 1.52 million from the previous year. The property, owned by Stonewood Group, a reputable developer with a strong presence in New Zealand’s property sector, highlights Radisson Hotel Group’s commitment to collaborating with owners across diverse business models within Auckland and the broader New Zealand hospitality market.

“The signing of the Radisson RED Auckland marks a key milestone in our Australasia development strategy. As one of our fastest growing lifestyle brands, Radisson RED offers an attractive value proposition for hotels in key urban locations like Auckland, making the brand a great fit for owners and partners looking for a pragmatic, yet differentiated and innovative solution to their real estate,” said Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group.

“This is the perfect time to join forces with Radisson Hotel Group to introduce Radisson RED to Auckland. The Radisson RED brand is an ideal brand that diversifies our real estate portfolio, with a strong commercial and operational value proposition with a distinct design concept that helps guests immerse themselves into Queen Street’s thriving arts district. With Radisson Hotel Group’s strong network of loyal guests, and wide appeal to the modern-day traveller, we’re looking forward to opening the doors of the property in 2025.” said Michael Chow, Co-founder and Director, Stonewood Group

Guests are presented with a range of accommodation options, from stylish Standard Rooms to expansive two-bedroom suites, each offering access to an all-day dining restaurant, a wellness facility, and four function rooms suitable for meetings and events. Situated within a mixed-use commercial development, the hotel is complemented by dining establishments, including a specialty rooftop restaurant, and retail outlets.

Benefiting from its proximity to Auckland’s main attractions, guests can easily access the vibrant Auckland waterfront, just a brief 10-minute stroll away, surrounded by upscale shops, eateries, and bars. Additionally, the hotel enjoys close proximity to various popular tourist spots, such as casinos, art galleries, parks, and museums.

The inauguration of the new Radisson RED hotel in New Zealand signifies the brand’s ongoing expansion, joining its portfolio of nearly 80 operational and upcoming hotels worldwide. Recent openings and signings in cities like Berlin, Tbilisi, Belgrade, Liverpool, Lagos, and forthcoming launches in Phuket and Cebu showcase the brand’s global growth trajectory.
