Sabre Corporation, a key software and technology provider for the global travel sector, is rolling out two innovative cloud-based travel management solutions designed to spur digital transformation and encourage the adoption of New Distribution Capability (NDC) among travel agents throughout the Asia Pacific region. These solutions, PowerSuite Cloud and PowerSuite Cloud Lite, were created through a collaboration with Hong Kong’s Excellent Management Limited (XML), and are aimed at empowering travel agents of varying sizes to enhance their operational efficiency, streamline repetitive processes, and access immediate business insights. This initiative is set to help agents navigate the growing complexities of travel, including the handling of NDC orders.

Leveraging the longstanding XML PowerSuite software, well-established in the Asia Pacific for many years, PowerSuite Cloud introduces an updated, user-friendly interface that supports a comprehensive accounting solution spanning front, mid, and back-office operations for travel enterprises regardless of their size. On the other hand, PowerSuite Cloud Lite marks a new introduction, initially launching in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, with plans for expansion across the region. This version focuses on integration from the front to the mid-office, tailored for smaller agencies, and provides essential financial tools and NDC integration, along with many of the advanced features found in PowerSuite Cloud.

The PowerSuite series is trusted by over 8,000 users across 14 markets. The transition to PowerSuite Cloud is already underway, with numerous current users successfully making the switch.

Tatang Tabrani, Managing Director, Global Travel in Singaporesaid: “At Global Travel, our direction is to go fully-automated and cloud-based to ensure our business is ready for the next-generation of travel offers. Being one of the early adopters of PowerSuite Cloud in Singapore, Global Travel is leading the charge towards digital transformation and sustainability, getting ahead of the curve. We were pleasantly surprised by the completely new user experience and enhanced features, while reaping the business benefits from moving the infrastructure to the Cloud thus achieving our green objective.”

Both solutions provide numerous benefits for travel agencies, including:

“As one of the early adopters of PowerSuite Cloud, we’re already reaping the benefits for our business, our team members, and our travellers,” said Peter Williams, Managing Director & CEO of Phil Hoffmann Travel in Australia.“Since moving to PowerSuite Cloud, we’ve been able to reduce costs and increase productivity through automation, whilst having easy access to comprehensive real-time insights needed to make informed decisions for revenue growth. We’ve been impressed by how intuitive and productive PowerSuite Cloud is, enabling our team to have greater control to elevate the entire client experience.”

“We are incredibly happy with PowerSuite Cloud,” said Ben Farrell, Director, Chirn Park Travel in Australia. “The productivity benefits have been significant for our team, particularly from the exceptional integration with Sabre, including auto-invoicing and updating for air, car, and hotel bookings in the GDS, as well as the client and supplier payment integrations to securely and seamlessly take payment and pay suppliers. Plus, the ever-expanding list of leisure supplier APIs allow our advisors to quickly import supplier bookings into PowerSuite Cloud, ensuring we are accurately and quickly invoicing cruises or multi-component holidays for our clients.”

“Sabre’s PowerSuite Cloud is already proving to be a game-changer for us,” added Choo Kok Leong, CEO of Boustead Travel Services in Malaysia. “PowerSuite has been a reliable tool for us for many years, helping us automate processes and streamlining our financial operations.  However, with the increasing need to book NDC offers from Singapore Airlines and now Malaysia Airlines, our migration to PowerSuite Cloud ensures the end-to-end workflow and reporting of NDC bookings is no different than traditional EDIFACT bookings.  We now have peace of mind that our business will not be disrupted by the increasing complexity of airline content.”

“Just as Sabre is accelerating our own digital transformation with our move to the Cloud, we know our travel agents need to make technological transformations of their own if they are to compete effectively in this rapidly-evolving travel industry landscape,” said Brett Thorstad, Vice President of Sabre Travel Solutions, Agency Sales and Airline Distribution, Asia Pacific. “That’s why we’re thrilled to bring PowerSuite Cloud and PowerSuite Cloud Lite to our agency partners to enable them to prepare for industry advancements such as increased NDC bookings. This new launch is part of our customer-centric commitment to innovation and providing the solutions necessary for agencies to thrive in an ever-advancing industry.”
