SAS expands summer flights to United States and Asia

In response to the surging demand for travel to the United States and Asia, SAS is set to expand its flight offerings and increase capacity for the upcoming summer traffic program.
Starting from March 31, 2024, SAS will be introducing additional flights and elevating frequencies to destinations in both the United States and Asia. Here are the key enhancements:
- Copenhagen to New York (JFK): The frequency of flights on this route will rise to up to two daily flights, all operated using Airbus A321LR aircraft. These new flights will complement the existing daily Airbus A330 flights to New York-Newark Airport from various Scandinavian capitals.
- Copenhagen to Boston: Flights from Copenhagen to Boston will transition from six times a week to daily service. These flights will utilize Airbus A350 aircraft, effectively doubling the available seating capacity. This expansion not only ensures daily connectivity but also facilitates increased cargo transport between the two regions.
- Copenhagen to Toronto: A fourth weekly flight will be introduced on the Copenhagen to Toronto route. The new departure time from Copenhagen will improve connections to and from European and Scandinavian cities.
- More Flights to Asia: Starting April 25, SAS will increase the frequency of flights to Asia. Both the Shanghai and Tokyo routes will expand from three to four times a week, significantly increasing both passenger and cargo capacity.
- Extended Bangkok Service: To meet the heightened demand during the Easter travel season, SAS will extend its Bangkok route with a weekly service until April 20th.
In summary, SAS is gearing up for an extensive summer program in 2024, with a broad range of destinations in North America and Asia, including New York (EWR & JFK), Chicago (ORD), Boston (BOS), Washington D.C. (IAD), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Miami (MIA) until April 7th, Toronto (YYZ), Tokyo (HND), Shanghai (PVG), and Bangkok (BKK) until April 20th.
