For students and associated staff members, the Turing Scheme offers financial support to take on lessons or work placement worldwide. For SERC students, this opportunity is a life changing experience, providing them an exclusive chance to get very important global experience, developing their technical skills and their employability.
Also, students get their language skills better and attain an improved understanding of different cultures of the world along with work practices.
The Turing Scheme adds to the commitment of the UK Government to a Global Britain, by assisting SERC like organizations to augment current overseas links and create new relationships. For Turing Scheme, the
release partner is Capita, working as a representative of the Department for Education.
Students who took part in the trip are assessing on the SERC Level 3 Diploma in Tourism along with Event Management and SERC Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism courses, from Downpatrick, SERC Bangor
and Lisburn campuses.
The students at the time of their time in Tenerife, learned digital marketing at FU International Academy Tenerife which targets to develop technical and employability skills of the students. The qualification includes many topics like writing for web, content marketing and image research, how to create Facebook pages followed by posts, how to edit photos etc.
