The return journey, FM872, departed Casablanca with over 200 passengers and made a stopover in Marseille, France, before arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 4:10 p.m. Beijing time on January 20. The launch of this route was celebrated with a traditional “water salute” upon the aircraft’s arrival in Casablanca, symbolizing a groundbreaking moment in aviation.
This new connection establishes a critical link between Shanghai and Casablanca, two prominent economic hubs, strengthening collaboration and fostering exchanges among Belt and Road partner nations. It serves as a vital “air bridge,” promoting seamless economic and cultural interactions between China and Morocco.
