Singapore

The second-largest city in Malaysia, Johor Bahru happens to be the busiest international land border crossing in the world. The bridge stretching to 1km linking Singapore and Malaysia remains crowded almost throughout the year.

It is important to take note of some facts while visiting friends or family:

By Bus

People seeking pocket-friendly options can go for SBS transit buses. Since cross-border bus service is definitely a pocket-friendly option,.

Bus service 160 trails on the route between Jurong Town Hall bus interchange and JB Sentral Bus Terminal.

Service 170 travels between Queen Street Terminal and Larkin Terminal in Johor Bahru, whereas Service 170X travels between Kranji MRT station and JB Sentral.

By Train

Passengers willing to cross the causeway in five minutes can avail of the Johor Bahru-Woodlands train service. In addition to this, there will be clear immigration via a separate route. It will be instrumental in avoiding twisty lines that are often crammed with bus arrivals and departure halls. Other than this, up to 320 passengers can board the train.

The train is also called the Tebrau Shuttle. It is functional in making 31 trips daily. The trips include 18 from JB Sentral to Woodlands and 13 from Woodlands to JB Sentral.

By Bus

People willing to travel by car should plan ahead of their schedule during long weekends, peak periods, and festive occasions. This will help to avoid the congestion.

The fare from Ban San Street terminal in Rochor to Larkin Sentral in JB via Woodlands Checkpoint is S$15 per person. While opting for a cab, one has to pay S$60. Furthermore, the fare for the return trip is RMI 120 per taxi.
