Since it opened, the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid has become the quintessential temple to wellness in the city and a perfect place to relax and unwind. This unique experience offers an oasis of peace and wellbeing to anyone seeking balance in mind and body.

Having already consolidated itself as the largest urban wellness centre anywhere in Spain (more than 1,400 square metres, or 15,000 square feet, spread over four floors), it launched a special partner therapists program a few months ago, for which leading figures in the field of health and beauty offer unique treatments to Hotel guests and local residents for a limited time only.

A new specialist is joining the program: Clara Gongsounds, a sound healing therapist, a practice that provides an immersive sound experience. A session of this therapy restores harmony to the body and every cell is enveloped by the vibrations emanating from the instruments. This type of therapy facilitates effortless passive meditation in which the sound brings complete balance to body and mind, reducing stress and anxiety levels, fostering cellular regeneration and enabling a state of deep relaxation.

“A therapy session with Tibetan bowls is the equivalent of eight hours of deep sleep, and is an all-encompassing pleasant experience,” says the expert therapist Clara Gongsounds.

Its benefits also include improvements to memory and a reduced risk of cardiac disease or stroke.

“We strive to offer inclusive services and we have tried to offer a form of meditation and relaxation that stands apart from the more well-known methods, such as yoga or meditation. By welcoming Clara into our partner therapists program, we are recognising this discipline. I loved the feeling I had during the trial session. I think it is a rather unknown technique that has much to offer and I want to help raise its profile. This ancient technique uses sounds and vibration not only to relax the body but also to release our mind,” adds Virginia Cogliati, Spa and Wellness Director at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid.

The Hotel has also confirmed new dates for its other partner therapists in 2023: Claudio J de Menezes, expert in reflexology (October 17 and 18) and Josep Lupión, master of Kobido (October 18).
