Sunny Sodhi takes the helm as Managing Director for FCM Travel India

Sunny Sodhi has assumed the role of Managing Director for FCM Travel India, the flagship division of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG). With over 26 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, Sodhi has a proven track record of establishing businesses and driving rapid growth.

In his previous role at OYO, Sodhi served as the COO for Luxury and Upscale Business, as well as the Head of Sales for India and Southeast Asia. Prior to OYO, he played a pivotal role as the COO for Yatra for Business, spearheading the establishment of the Corporate Travel vertical from its inception. Additionally, he served as the Head of Industry Relations for Yatra.com.

Sodhi brings valuable expertise from successful tenures at HRG and CWT India, where he held significant responsibilities in business, sales, and client management. Actively contributing to the startup ecosystem in the country, Sodhi’s appointment aligns with FCM’s strategic focus on the Indian market.

Bertrand Saillet, Managing Director of FCM Travel Asia, expressed confidence in Sodhi’s ability to lead FCM Travel India to new heights, citing the company’s strong performance in corporate travel and FCM Meetings & Events. Saillet emphasized the importance of the Indian market for FCM in Asia and the strategic investments made in people and technology over the past two years.

Highlighting FCM’s outstanding customer service and industry-leading client retention rates, Saillet noted the substantial growth anticipated in the Indian business travel segment over the next 5-6 years. He believes FCM is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth with cutting-edge technology and established thought leadership.

He aims to contribute to consistent and robust growth by developing a suite of strong non-air products.
