At the World Travel and Tourism Council conference in Riyadh, Philip Davis, the Prime Minister of the Bahamas took a major stride by considering the Kingdom for tourism collaboration and funding.
An agreement was signed between the Ministry of Tourism in the Bahamas and the Saudi government.
A private funding meeting was held after the WTTC conference by the Bahamas along with Jamaica,
Grenada and Barbados at Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh. The notion of travel without visa amid
contributing countries and Saudi Arabia was deliberated.
The Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis and high-ranking government representatives held a mutual
meeting last week with Saudi government officials to deliberate the second phase.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Aqil al-Khateeb, the tourism minister of Saudi, expressed the Saudi government’s compliments regarding the 50th independence of the Bahamas.
